FREE-CUTTING STEEL AVP 11SMNPB37 AVZ 11SMN30
“High speed machining” or “high machinability” steel is easily machinable even with the high cutting speeds of automatic chip removal machines. High machinability steel contains elements that guarantee higher chip creation, machining speeds and, increased productivity while preserving the tools life.
Applications: The largest application field is the production of small parts, machined or turned parts with chip removal. The final use cannot require high mechanical strength.
It is a low-density material: the specific weight is among the lowest of structural materials (2.7 g/cm³ against 7.9 g/cm³ of steel) and it has a high ductility. It has a high thermal and electrical conductivity and a low melting point (about 660° C): the melting temperature limits the structural applications of aluminium to maximum operating temperatures of 200-300° C. It is highly resistant to corrosion in an atmospheric environment.
Applications: It is mainly used in aeronautics.
BRASS CW 614 N - CW 510 L
These are part of the leaded brass alloy family. Leaded and lead-free brass has a low copper content. The high structure percentages reduce the alloy’s ductility but improve its deformability during hot forging.
Applications: The main applications are taps, clamps, accessories and various components.
STAINLESS STEEL 430 F 1.4104 - 303 4305 - 304 4307 316 L 1.4404 - 1.4106
Stainless steel is an austenitic, non-heat treatable Cr-Ni steel, with better workability and resistance to galling due to its sulphur content. It is unsuitable for welded parts. Corrosion resistance is sacrificed due to the high sulphur content, however it is good exposed to the atmosphere particularly for food substances and organic chemicals.
Applications: For parts produced on automatic machines (pins, bushings, screws, nuts, bolts, tensioners, etc.) or for parts which are not subject to critical corrosion.
It is an innovative alloy that meets all environmental standards. It has a good corrosion resistance, medium-high mechanical properties, decorative anodic oxidation and hard oxidation properties for industrial use. It does not contain tin, which can cause brittleness and breakage.
Applications: The main application fields are automotive, electrical, and electronic, and hot forging.
STEEL S235 JR - S355 JR
Construction steel for low-stress machine parts, easily forged, used for parts that must not be flexed.
Applications: It is mainly used in the construction industry.
STEEL ETG 100
ETG100 is a Swiss-made, highly machinable steel, which has the delivery mechanical characteristics of C40 hardening steel.
Applications: It is mainly used in the hydraulics industry.
